Schmetterlingsgarten Luxemburg

Hallo zusammen,

the one on picture 3 is a Heliconius hecale, the one on picture 6 is probably a Heliconius cydno just like the one on puicture 7 (this species can have lots of different colors) 13 is also a Parthenos silvia, and Hans was right about Catopsilia pomona.

Greetings Wessel Herrewijnen

Hello,

No. 6,7 are Heliconius cyndo galanthus (Costa Rican subspecies) without doubt. You can be sure, because you can see the two red circular markings on the underside of the backwing. link
No. 1 is a Memphis sp.

Nice photos.

Hi

thanks a lot for the help. We were able to figure some out with the help of google and a long night but we were not sure if we are right. Nevetheless we were not able to get them all.

Vielen Dank :daumenja:

number 5 : Parthenos sylvia ellina (Maluku) or P. sylvia phillipensis (Philippines). I presume that it's the second ssp.

number 10 : Parthenos sylvia virens (South India) or P. sylvia lilacinus (Peninsular Malaya) ?
