Galathea News

The circle Nürnberg entomologists eV was founded in 1977.
Since 1986, the club's magazine galathea was published four issues per year. As of 2012, the publication of a band is sought towards the end of the year. Publication (excerpts) from current Galathea book publications are available on the page.

You are at the front door of ACTIAS, worlds greatest virtual community of people interested in insects. Search, observation, breeding and collecting of insects is our passion.
ACTIAS is more than an international discussion board, it is also the most activ trading place for insects and spiders. You find here every day offers of preserved species for collectors as well as living animals. Breders from many nations trade manly eggs, caterpillars, pupae and cocoons of butterflies, but also bugs and spiders.
A personal picture gallery, a calendar with all entomological events, a collection of recent publications with many breeding reports, a link list with other entomological websites and much more are inside ACTIAS, free of any charge of course.
Just come in to discuss, no need to register. However if you want to participate in our market place, you must register and provide correct name and address.

Specialized Journal Entomo-Satsphingia:
The specialized entomological journal ENTOMO-SATSPHINGIA has been founded in 2008 by Dr. Ronald BRECHLIN, Pasewalk, und Frank MEISTER, Prenzlau. The first issue appeared on 6th April, 2008 with Volume 1, Heft 1, in about 100 pages (ISSN 1866-7384). It serves for publication of scientific works on taxonomy, faunistics, biology and ecology from the field of the Heterocera-families Saturniidae and Sphingidae. The journal appears irregularly. Manuscripts according to the rules for authors, obtainable from the redaction, can be sent to the editor's address below. It is possible to receive the journal by subscription. Subscription prize depends from the number of pages of each issue. Costs of transfer are not covered.
