Comment on Leptidea sp.

It is likely that old Leptidea sinapis will be split up not only into the 2 now known but into 3 different species. L. reali will again be separated into L. reali (distributed only in small areas from the Pyrenees across southern France to parts of northern Italy) and a more widespread species L. juvernica (Central and Eastern Europe, Asia).

This is due to some genetic research published in summer 2011. If established, possible Leptidea species of this complex for Macedonia should be sinapis and juvernica, but not (new) reali.
