Hallo Werner,
die Kopula dauert bei A.isabellae nicht sehr lange ( 2-3 Stunden ) und die ersten Eier
werden auch noch in der selben Nacht abgelegt.Sehr wahrscheinlich wird eine Kopula
stattgefunden haben.Wenn das heute Abend mit der Eiablage weitermacht
und nicht mehr lockt,kannst Du dir ziemlich sicher sein,dass es geklappt hat.

wahrscheinlich hast Du mit Deiner Voraussage recht gehabt, bis heute hat das Weibchen ca. 120 Eier gelegt.(siehe Bild)

Hallo Leute,
I'll be writing in English but you may answer auf Deutsch (I understand it well).
I have had my isabellae cocoons at home for more than 3 weeks (and earlier about 10 days outside). Most of the moths from Switzerland emerged (about 3/4). But I have got also 3 pairs of Spanish isabellae and they still show no sign of any developement (however, 2 males came out about 10 days ago). So my question is: is it possible that they will take longer to hatch or they will do so in 2012??
About overwintering: all the cocoons were kept in fridge in 3oC from October to February, later spent about 2 weeks outside (when we had frost up to -15oC), and back in the fridge until beginning of April.
Of course the pupae aren't dead, make moves, etc.

Hallo zusammen,

gestern ist mir das erste Weibchen von G.isabella ausgeschlüpft, Eine wünderschöne Art!



Heute sind noch 2 Männchen dazu gekommen, ich hoffe jetzt dass ich eine Parung erzielen kann.
