Graellsia isabellae egg during winter?

    hi!

I was wondering if its possible to get eggs of Graellsia isabellae during winter and if so where. I know that you can rase actia dub. during the winter since the host plant is pine. Otherwise what kind of moth would you recommend to rase during winter? I'm ATM in Switzerland so not a lot of available food plant during those months...

    Approved the thread.

    Hi

No, it isn’t. This species flies from March to June, depending on locality, altitude, temperature, etc.

Latest in the year I have seen them hatch was in Autumn, I think October maybe (?) and I’ve seen it once or twice only so no pairings.

I reckon 95%+ of the adults we have reared emerged in April-May, that is out of several batches from different localities over the years.

    Maria
