    Thanks Hermann, glad you like the photo. I saw these butterflies on the island of Waigeo in West Papua, there were two bluish males flying around, as well as typical bright green individuals. I spent a lot of time watching them during our 5 days stay.

    Thank you for posting this photograph.
    It's nice to see that there are really blue O. Priamus (Poseidon ?) in the wilderness.
    Most of these bluish forms, which you can buy on Ebay, are manipulated with UV-light.
    I found a bluish O. Priamus poseidon in the book from Bela von Knötgen. He claimed that it was a natural aberration and not a manipulated specimen. But I didn't believe him.
    Now I know that he was right.
    By the way, where did you take this photograph ?
