    How do you open the cocoons without hitting the pupae?
    With Bombyx mori it’s quite easy because there is plenty of space inside the cocoon, but with A. yamamai the cocoon seems to be a much tighter fit.

      Hi,
      You have to be cautious but the best way is to cut of the very tip of the cocoon. Like that you will hit a small whole on the cocoon and you just have to cut it around making sure the tip of the scissors always pointing away from the pupa.
