My Eupackardia calletta are held at 20 degrees in an cage with mesh.
Its been 3 weeks since they have been popped.
I worry that they have too little humidity or that I did something els wrong.
Can someone tell me how to care for the cocons. Unfortunately I cant find much information in english or in dutch.
It would also be Nice to know how long it wil take.

hello, i rear a strain from Arizona which is single- brooded. Pupae emerged after 1 year, except few emerged in middle summer. In winter i keep them in an unheated room. Spraying cocoons- in months when emerging is expected- can trigger their emerging.

Hi,
I have a single cocoon that has been kept in my bathroom that is entering its second winter of diapause (I just checked and the pupa is still wiggling). It’s siblings had eclosed at the end of summer last year. From what I’ve heard, anecdotally, diapause can take two years, possibly more. This strain is also from southern Arizona.
Best regards,

I wil trie to take care of them in My scullery. I'm not sure how cold it wil be during winter.
Can the Pupae withstand temperatures blow 10 degrees or even below 0?
