Actias Sinensis

Hello everyone!
I have problems with this species on gunnii at room temperature .. a lot of loss and diet down.yet fresh food every two days and maintains a good hygiene.Everyone says easy species but for the moment so much trouble!Any tips are welcome please that would be appreciated.thanks

Hi Rudi, is not Selene but Sinensis.. never reported they eat the same foodplant !?

And of course.. I have gunnii often its not the best plant for her....

I've found that one person's experience is not necessarily gong to be the experience I have, I've had a number of species simply refuse
purported alternate food plants, it's just one of those things about animals, and it is frustrating, especially when person after
person will claim, the species will accept "what's it trees" and your caterpillars either refuse altogether or eat for a couple days and expire.

Thanks for your reply..we have a large community here so I do to ask... of course it’s like that and I hear well your point of view.
I am not an expert but never had this kind of problem...
So maybe better with next generation

Maybe try to pm ArGeNtUm ? He seems to be great in breeding Actias spp.

I just read from Alexandre Laberge from Canada on Facebook that Tsuga canadensis is accepted foodplant for A.sinesis ! Look his pic !

With a little warmer room temp and young leaf they restart to eat... so finger crossed
