Saturnia pavonia coconnen im kuhlschrank

    Moi,

    grusse Richard

    Hello Richard.

There is no problem to keep pupae in fridge that are custom to sub-zero temp.
Temp is then stable arround 5-7 degrees.
Also is daylight- night no problem, for I know.

However, people think differently about the right time to place the pupae in the fridge. As temp drops inot before autum-winter.

A second issue is the ammount of moist needed.
Some fridgerators are very moist (Condens to surfaces), some are dryer.
I have good results with once month a few droplets of water in the puppae containers, so they don't dry up.

But with this temp (5-7C), I notice that more puppae have the tendency to lay over for more than 1 year.

    Greetings Fillip

    Hoi Fillip,

    grusse Richard
