    südliche Arten überliegen selten bis gar nicht. Wo liegt da die Gefahr. Trockenheit sind sie gewohnt.

    Nordische, alpine, sibirische .... Arten überliegen oft mehrere Jahre (Weißlinge, Saturnidae,..,).

    Habe schon mindestens 30 Zuchten von L. quercus durchgeführt. Von den südlichsten Inseln,

    Alpen, Schweden, Mitteleuropa, Rußland, Balkan, Türkei, Kasachastan ....

    Habe noch nie meine Puppen besprüht. Hatte bisher nur alpine/nordische Überlieger.

    Das ist bei südlichen Tieren normal. Wenn alle gleichzeitig schlüpfen würden, wäre die Population bei widrigen Verhältnissen gefährdet…

    wenn Puppen überliegen, liegt das meines Erachtens daran, dass die "Rahmenbedingungen" für einen Schlupf im laufenden Jahr nicht passen. Meistens ist das wohl zu große Trockenheit im Gefäß, in dem sich die Puppen befinden. Deshalb…

    Warum uberliegen dann die quercus aus Sizilien. Voriges Jahr sind nur 3 Falter geschlüpft. :grimacing_face:

    Selbst im Umfeld der Ostseeküste gibt es bei quercus keine Puppenüberwinterung.

    Da ist der Harz bereits tiefster Süden 😉.
