Hello,
Thank you for your help! I was spraying the leaves, I won't do that again. I keep them in one of those plastic containers where food insects are stored, so there is a little ventilation.

hello,
This is the smaller and not as healthy looking individual. It is smaller and has flat tubercles. The others who looked like this died, this one however seems to be doing fine.
Hi,
I recently bought 15 atlas moth eggs, and most of them emerged. But now I I'm down to just 2. I think all deaths where mid-shed, they where limp and thin and had bent tubercles. Al lot of them where touching the (pretty clean) ground while shedding, is this what causes it?
Thanks in advance.
Dear Wayne,
Thank you for the response, Will ligustrum ovalifolium be o.k.? It is the only species I have available to me
Thank you,
Jan
Hello,
I recently purchased my first Lepidoptera eggs, they are Attacus atlas.
One of the eggs has hatched and the the larva ate its eggshell. I have placed it in a glass jar with netting instead of a lid on top. I have placed it in a terrarium which is around 27 degrees with a humidity of aound 70% and in the glass jar probably higher (there is condense). I have placed a few prived branches in the jar for it to eat, but he just kept wondering around and climbed on the branches and wasn't eating. Now he sits curled up on the side of a leaf.
Is something wrong with the caterpillar? Or is this normal?
Thanks in advance.
