Hallo miteinander,

Vielen Dank!

I've had several batches of Graellsia cocoons, and they've always arrived opened. If you were to use a digital scale,

make sure no plant debris was on the cocoons, you could probably get something close to accurate, they are a small

bodied moth with not a lot of difference in size, at least in my experience, the sexes may only be separated by a gram

Or so. With differences in rearing affecting weight, it would take several generations to get any kind of data

you could use. I suppose just by using basic numbers, any moth weighing 1 gram more than another would be a good

Guess at being female.

Hi Kevin,

Thank you for the helpful input!

Hallo zusammen,

Dear all, I would like to ask some information about the pupal diapause of Zerynthia polyxena.

Do you store pupae in the fridge during winter?

When the pupae start to eclose after diapause?

I would be glad if you can share your experience about this topic. Thank you in advance!

Best wishes, Marco

I have also been contacted by email by a person named David Nahlyve. He offered me live pupae but he did not sent any pictures and he doesn't say the price!

Best wishes, Marco

Dear all,

what temperature is recommended to overwinter the pupae of P. multicaudata?
