I’ve always wanted to breed this butterfly in my butterfly house too, but I’ve never managed it...
I haven't found anyone who has successfully reared them on citrus... It seems they only like laying their eggs on Euodia and Clausena.
If anyone has managed to rear them on citrus, please speak up and tell us how you did it jejeje 😬

The butterfly garden is growing very quickly. There are fruits from different Passiflora species, and also many flowers. I've also made some artificial feeders with my 3D printer.
As a fun fact, I wanted to share that I repaired the wing of a Papilio nireus butterfly. It couldn't fly properly or feed on its own, as its flight was terrible. Now it can live and eat well, and even reproduce.

This beautiful specimen has hatched from one of my Antherina Suraka cocoons.
I believe it's melanistic, compared to other specimens that are completely colorful and orange.

We've pruned all the plants in the greenhouse again, since the butterflies had almost no room to fly, and that's my priority.
Climbing plants, like passionflowers, grow very quickly, and I don't mind cutting them almost completely back 😬
There aren't many species flying yet; I'm working on it, and I want to buy several pupae for the summer (I also accept donations, hehe 🙄😝).

I want to know if other butterfly species besides Byasa alcinous or Battus philenor have been bred on the Aristolochia macrophylla plant?
In my area, I can't seem to find other Aristolochia species, and when I have managed to get rhizomes or seeds of different species, they haven't survived.

I wanted to update this post after several months and some personal issues... But a promise is a promise, so here are the photos!
We made some changes, removing some very large plants, pruning, and rearranging things inside.
We also removed the shade netting, since it's no longer needed with the climbing plants, and I like it better aesthetically 🙌🏽
There aren't any butterflies flying around right now, so I'm open to suggestions and donations from members, hehe 🙄😬

Hello everyone, I wanted to share this interesting observation about my Hyles tithymali larvae.
I've always found wild larvae with different shades of spots on their backs.
They can be red or white spots.
What I want to study is whether the adult moths differ in any way from one another.

Hello everyone, I'm back with some updates after several days of work on the butterfly house.
I've installed shade netting to prevent it from retaining so much heat when the sun is strong. I've also planted several host plants and decorated the floor a bit, although it still needs finishing.
Now I want to add more flowering plants and some greenery. I currently have several Caligo memnon butterflies flying around, reproducing, and laying eggs efficiently.
They're eating a mixture of banana and honey water from feeders I made with my 3D printer, and I'm also putting pieces of fruit around the butterfly house.
