Ich habe meine am zimmer Luftfeuchtigkeit gehalten (50-60%?), wenn die raupen immer gut zu fressen haben dan haben sie kein problemen!
Canna ist ein tolle pflanze... und ein sehr billige pflanze.

Hello guys, i have noticed that the distelfalter this year grows on many many many plants!
I saw them on Arctium lappa..

I think, i is because of the fact that there are so many butterfloy's that some of them will lay on this plants.
I may not be their perfect hostplant, but an alternative and because of the fact there are so many butterfly's they will lay on the alternative.
The Overwintering should be like iniachis io i guess, but than at a temperature of 4-8 degrees.
I am going to try it this year, the butterflys that are here now some of them will fly back to afrika and some stay, the ones that stay.. die

They start laying eggs the evening after the Kopula, the eggs will hatch in about 10-14 days?
The eggs should be kept to wet, just in a box without any paper, just breathe in it twice a day.
When the eggs hatch, put them on fresh willow, in a not to ventilated box, when to ventilated, the willow dries out in 1 hour so anyways, just refesh it once a day.
Once the caterpillars reach l3, they can be kept in a big cage or what i did, on a cutted willow plant, they wont walk off it before the tree is eaten..
You can also sleeve them, you only have to look at it, and somethimes put the sleeve on a other side of the tree..

Ich habe sie in meine greenhouse lassen sitzen, und haben sie ein mal gefuttert, was ich hat gesehen is das sie immer bei der eingang kopulieren, ich tinke das er durch der lufteingang ist, das die fereomonen besser können gefunden wurden!

Hallo, mein totenkopz und ligustri schwarmers sind geschlupft.
Nur habe ich ein problem, wenn ich sie futteren wollt wollen sie nicht, und laufen oder fliegen sie weg.
Was is es problem ist das honey solution nicht gut?
Wieviel % honey muss ich in das wasser tun?
