hostplant for this specious are Cephalaria procera, but will accept other members of the scabious family (Dipsacaceae) in captivity.

You can spray the basis once a few days till L3 but do not let plant wet, becouse caterpillars can get a diarrhoea...

Hello Actias users,

I bought last time eggs of M. peleides. There hatched 15 caterpillars from all eggs. I feed them on Weissklee, temp. 25*C, humidity 70%. At the moment I have only 6 caterpillars, becouse rest of them died a few days after haching. Could someone give me some advices how to breed this species?
