hi what kind of butterfly is this and what do the catterpillars eat ?

I know its a kind of night butterfly. I first thought it was the atlas butterfly but it is much smaller. It does have the same kind of cocoon.

I'm trying to breed with the machaon in a smal glass house, they have come out of their cocoon last week and are now in a habitat with food plants and host plants.
How long wil it take for them to mate and lay eggs?
Is it difficult to breed this species?
And they hardly fly around, only sit on their flowers.........don't they have to be flying around?

I have catrepillars from the caligo (owl butterfly)

Then should be eating banana leaves but they are not eating here....

Can anyone tell me what i can feed them other than banana leaves?

because otherwise they won't survive i think

Does anyone know what they eat? I feed them banana leaves but they won't eat from the leaves..... :unsure:

Is it the same species? Only different stadia?
And what species is it exactly? I think it is a caligo kind but dont know wich one.

the first is the caterpillar and the second is the cocoon

I have found this caterpillar yesterday when i was cutting te conifer.

i cant find what kind of butterfly this will become.
