I have reared this species many times from several location collections and each time I have some that go into a diapause and some that come right back out. There doesnt seem to be a good reason that I can tell. Day length is only one part of the equation to getting them to diapause from what I can tell. Wetting cocoons along with long day length and 25C will break their diapause. Would be interesting to hear what other peoples experiences have been.
