Satyrids without foodplant

Dear breeders!

In late summer I started to rear some Satyridae and nowdays I have 4 larvae (3-L5 epiphron, 1-L3 galathea), but my grass started to dry and I do not now what should I do, because outside is everything under the snow and there is no time for growing grass from seeds.
Does anybody tips for me ??

I tried it, but the grass was dry too under the trees

I fed my Hipparchia azorina and some Erebia- and Pseudochazara-species with Festuca scoparia (Bärenfellgras), which is still green in my garden now, even under snow.

Did they eat cutted grass ?
I give mine some grass I found near our house after melting snow, so I hope they will feed it.

Yes, I gave them cutted Festuca scoparia most of time and they have eaten it.
Please, read some of my "Zuchtberichte" in Actias "Veröffentlichungen"! z. B. about E. epiphron
E. epiphron did not eat F. scoparia.

I do not know what kind of grass I cutted. Epiphron choose one type and this type I will be giving them up to pupating.
Galathea eats everything, this caterpillar has no problems with any types of grass- a real eating machine.
But epiphron are eating only small portions of grass and very seldom, so I hope they will not die. After six monhts os breeding it will be a real disaster.
