S. pyri gynandromorph

pavol

Hello everybody,

I collected gynandromorph of Saturnia pyri couple days ago, with male part on the left side and female part on the right side. Wings are not spreaded perfectly. So, my question is - does it have a worth? If yes, how much can it be?
Thanks,

Palo

What it is worth I can't say,
But if you are unhappy with the setting, than wetten it again.
And spread the specimen perfectly.

By the way:
What is the specific name of the setting paper you use??

Hi Fillip,

misunderstanding. It was ment, that the wings aren't inflated perfectly, kind of crinkled..
And the spreading paper I use is kind of cellophane

Regards,
Palo

Hello Palo,

That is to bad for the wings, because it is quit rare this gender-mix.
