I have recently had two males and three females of Eacles imperialis emerge, lovely large specimens. Unfortunately, I cannot get them to pair - any suggestions please?

I have tried them outdoors in a cylindrical netting cage, both dry and sprayed with water and inside also without air movement.
Temperatures of between 65-75F have been normal.

I've also tried hand-pairing which has not been successful.

Any tips or ideas would be appreciated! :hilfe:

Many years ago I received a package of moths from French Guiana, which had laid eggs in transit - the larvae of many different species had unfortunately hatched in the post.

Some of the larvae which arrived closely resemble those in your photograph.

As a result, I think that my best guess would be that these are an Arsenurinae family of Saturniidae - possibly an Arsenura species or more likely Titea tamerlan ???

    What a fantastic idea!!

Is there any possibility that the documents could also be produced in English - I apologise but my knowledge of German is not good. If so it would be a great help and I would like to be involved in submitting my own records.

    Your help would be appreciated.

    Apologies Dietmar!

I have used a 'free' translation which is obviously not very good.

I am trying to find a manufacturer of a Setting Board Storage Case in Europe. In England it appears that they are never available or in stock.

I intend to store set Saturniidae specimens on boards of up to 9 inches (23cm) whilst they dry out after being relaxed. This will also prevent damage from pests such as museum beetle or mites.

Do you know of any suppliers of this item in Germany?

    Regards,
