It means generations, for instance, ova from a wild collected, or from a pairing of unrelated parents are usually called F0,
then, a pairing from parents of those ova, would be called F1.
I think that's it anyway, it can be confusing, and it has confused me, and some persons start with F1, and subsequent generations
would be F2.
If I'm wrong on this- let me know someone. After you stop giggling.
Often, it's simply used to indicate the stock is healthy and not inbred, and there are a lot of opinions about inbreeding
and how it effects the health of the animals.
I have communicated with a breeder that attributes nearly every anomaly typically associated with inbreeding, to sub-lethal
infections that cause weakness, or unhealthy animals. Certainly an interesting topic.

Hello Javier,
our trading rules include an explanation for the declaration als F1, F2 and so on:
https://www.actias.de/thread/54319-the-correct-offer/ZitatThe labelling as F0 occurs if the livestock is wild collected or a breeding from two non-related parents, which can be wild collected or descend from two different blood-lines. In case the offered Eggs/Larvae/Cocoons originate from the first cross-breeding of two already related parents thus they are the first generation of inbreeding they are labelled as F1. According to this principle the number of further classification as F2, F3 etc. indicates how many times related animals have been mated in the breeding-line.
Kind regards,
Julia
