Attacus Atlas

Butterfly Identification

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has ever sucessfully reared Attacus Atlas on Rhododendron? I know they can be reared on Privet, Ailanthus, Prunus, Salix, and others but I'm curious to know if they will take Rhododendron or other plants?

Hi Tea,

A. atlas is polyfhagus, it is best they eat different foodplants. So just try to give them Rhododendron, and see what they do. But it's better not to give them all stages the same.
