Hello,
Any advice on how to make my mittrei cocoons emerge would be helpful. I keep them warm (32C during the day and 25C at night) and dunk them in warm water everyday to simulate the rain in Madagascar.
Any other advice would be great.

Hi everyone-
I'm thinking about rearing M. Peleides and am wondering what hostplants are acceptable?
I've heard people have reared them on Trifolium repens... is there any documentation to prove this?
Or how about: Phaseolus lunatus, peanuts, or Vigna unguiculata?
Thanks!

Have you tried Privet? And it's odd that they refused Quercus.. my friend reared some long ago on Q. Pauliskas (Pin Oak) and they did fine...
I've never personally reared them, but books tell me that Quercus, Magnolia, Fagus, and Persea work. I'd try Quercus ssp. first.

Hi-
I have a male Atlas and two females just emerged. It doesn't look like one is going to expand it's wings fully, but the other may. If neither do, are they still able to mate and lay eggs?
Thanks!
Also, I have two A. Io females, and ideas as to how to make the males emerge faster?

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has ever sucessfully reared Attacus Atlas on Rhododendron? I know they can be reared on Privet, Ailanthus, Prunus, Salix, and others but I'm curious to know if they will take Rhododendron or other plants?
Thanks,
