What about Actias gnoma mandschurica? Certainly from the right region, but I am not sure about the tail shape. A. ningpoana is a huge moth and from the east. You say the male is as big as a luna? Do you have a photo of the male so I could have a look. Do you have exact location data?
She also looks close to a female Actias chrisbrechlinae, but they are from the Yunnan further south.

I have just looked at some more A. gnoma images on Flickr.com. They certainly have the transparency in the wings. Have a look and see what you think.

. - Well, I am not a specialis in Saturniidae. But I don't think so.
I just cited Rudolf Lampe's book. I think we have to look at the eye-spots. They look like black half-moons in Actias selene (like in Robert's specimen). Actias selene But they resemble "new-moons" with a faint of a line in Actias gnoma (like the photo on fickr). Actias gnoma.
