Hi Friends
Last week I caught such an interesting specimen, in Kraków (Krakau). Probably P. napi... totally black
only its shape is rather intriguing...
Hi!
very interesting!
are the eyes green/light?
best regards and congratulations for this beauty
Hi Luke!
Wow, never seen before! Congratulation! Really beautiful!
best Regards
Michael
Thanks!
Once caught, its eyes were green, but they became much darker (almost black) after the butterfly's death. Curiously enough, its abdomen as well as the antennae, are totally black
When I saw it for the first time, flying, I thought about P. morio; once I got it in my net, it looked like E. medusa
Hi Luke
Very interesting butterfly.
Some years ago a friend of mine from malta caught an A.rapae black as the one you collected.
It seems to be an extreemly rare coincidence that this happens.
I will try to get a picture of it for comparison.
Once again a great discovery.
Aldo
