    Hi HJM,

at first let me tell, that it is illegal to copy photos and use them in public, that are owned by someone else. That's a question of copy right and using this photo without any permission of the owner is illegal and can be punished by law. In this case you can be punished, because of breaking the law, and the forum can be punished for your behavior, too. Means because of you doing an illegal thing, someone else gets punished, too, giving you the platform to be illegal. So don't be astonished when the photo will be erased imidiatelly by one of the mods. I hope they will do so. For the future you should put down a link to the photo and everything will be ok.

At second I like to tell, that names of forma and variations are of no scientifical use. In my mind it is some kind of interresting to describe a found forma or Variation, but to give it a Name... . What for?

At third I like to tell, that the way you chose to ask your question is a bit funny. I'm missing a link to have a look at the pages on my own. I'm missing Background informations about where it was found, who did find it and when.

And last but not least I wonder what your interrest is for. Is it just because this Butterfly is of strange colour and your interrested in butterflies. Or are you one of the guys who will tell the ones who ask for it the Name of that forma and not doing it the scientifical way, by telling who gave you a hand for this question? There are to many of those guys in the web.

At least, to answere your question:

That's Coscinia striata striata (Linnaeus, 1758) f. intermedia Spuler, 1906. ( det. by using "Die Bombyces und Sphinges der Westpalaearktis" by de Freina und Witt).

    Best regards
    Klaas
