Agrius convolvuli

Hallo Züchter.

Im Juli wurden hier auf ACTIAS Eier von Agrius (Herse) convolvuli angeboten und leider hatte ich keine Zeit, die Zucht selbst durchzuführen.

Hat jemand von Euch sich Eier bestellt und jetzt die Tiere in Zucht?
Wie verläuft die Zucht bis jetzt? Probleme oder keine?
Strebt jemand eine Nachzucht an?
Hält jemand die Tiere bei Kurztag?

Würde mich interessieren, wie eure Erfahrungen bis jetzt sind.

All (but one) of the eggs hatched. 23
1 died of bite-injury

22 catterpilars were within 3 weeks submerged!
Very big and strong. Around 12cm+.
Any offspring from the eggs of Douglas should be very strong and healthy.

I reared them in a 14 hour day-time. If 16 is the limit, it is short-day breed.
I am 21 of august on 7days holiday, but if the pupae emerege after, I am definetly trying for a next generation.

They were magnificent!
