Callimorpha dominula (Scarlet tiger) breeding.

Hello,

Yesterday I caught a wild Callimorpha dominula, and would like to breed it. However I am not sure of the sex and didn't find any others of the same species. I would like to breed it but I am unsure of how to attract a mate.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Well, I don't know what you got planned, but if you don't even know the sex how do you want to breed anything? I mean if it's a male you won't have much luck with that. So if you're asking for someone to help you identify the sex, then a photo would help a lot. Usually, females have a bigger abdomen, but I'll admit that in case of C. dominula the difference is quite subtle.

It s really easy. Put her/him in a box with urtica . Feed him or her. They need it.
If you have no eggs the next two days it is probably a male. Few eggs a virgin female, lots of eggs a fertiliced female.
