Argema mimosae

    Hallo.

    Danke :applaus:

  • ANZEIGE

I'd say unlikely. Pairings often happen unobserved, but rarely during the day for Saturniidae, it's possible,

    but not typical.

If the eggs are fertile, they'll stay plump and round, or oval- otherwise they'll probably start collapsing in 4 -6

    days.

I always collect ova and wait a good two weeks or more before tossing them though- you never know, I had

Actias dubernardi pair up unseen twice and after a couple weeks, they hatched, Some Saturniidae ova take

longer than 2 weeks, so if you are uncertain, a little research or questions might help.

Always unpredictable, I've had fresh females begin laying without even calling, of several species.
