Charaxes behavior

    Hello everyone,

    Lately I have had some Charaxes but they have had odd behavior. I have had Charaxes castor and C. brutus. I’m sure a lot of you have had C. jaisuis. I’m sure those species are quite similar. My Charaxes always seem a tad lethargic, and refuse to move. I think they are fat and drunk from eating. They eat a lot, sometimes for a day or 2. Is this healthy? I think this is the reason but this might be a good thing. For anyone who has had Charaxes jaisuis, how long do they usually live?

    C. jasius is a longliving species. Between one and two months should be ok in captivity. C jasius needs high temperatures to become activ and I think yours drink to much. They can drink so much that they are to heavy to fly.
