Unidentified scarabaeidae

Good evening everyone,

Some time ago i received a collection almost entirely made up of butterflies, from an 85 years old gentleman whose grand father was an entomologiste, but in this collection there was an unlabeled Beetle with with no scientific name. In a notebook belonging to is grand father dating from around 1890 to 1930 he showed me a line where its marked "unidentified Beetle brought back from trip to africa in 1923". He never managed to identify it.

I was told me that it was a scarabeus sacré and inadmit that i don't believe it!

Can anyone help me?

without an label or a location a determintion is nearly impossible and without every

entomological science. Africa is big, with a lot of different regions.

You can look in I-nature in Southafrica, Westafrica, Eastafrica, Northafrica ..... Scarabaeidae
