Hello!
Does anyone have experience with Amata phegea or other Amata moths?
I found a great number of caterpillars at local forest and collected some to see how they do in captivity.
I read they are very polyphagous and will eat almost anything, including each other. Interestingly, my caterpillars seemed more interested in dry fish food than in fresh leaves. I also gave them fruit and a killed worm, but they didn't seem to touch these.
I took this picture a few days ago, by now a third of them have already molted to the next instar.
