Please could someone identify this larvae which feeds on Leptoderris congolensis (Fabaceae) in DR Congo? The larvae are found in quite large numbers and are eaten by the local people. The Kikongo name for this larvae is Mfundi.

Hi Paul.
should be a species of the Genus Antheua (Notodontidae). Is it also called "Malomba loka" in Congo areas?
For further informations about this Genus, see here: http://www.afromoths.net/genus/show/651120Best wishes from Germany
