Hallo,
ich habe gerade 2 männliche Actias Luna Falter bei mir und habe bemerkt, dass beide leichte Schäden an ihren Flügeln haben und Beine verlieren. Kämpfen die wohl miteinander? Wenn ja, hat jemand ne Antwort, wie ich das verhindern kann?

kämpfen werden sie nicht gegeneinander, aber sobald es dunkel wird werden sie rumflattern.
Verhindern kannst Du es, wenn Du sie unter Dauerlicht hälst.

...... solange wie der passende Geschlechtspartner noch nicht geschlüpft ist,
kann man Saturniden durchaus 5 - 7 Tage unter Dauerlicht halten.
That is interesting, I never thought about keeping males quiet that way, I know another breeder that mentioned something similar,
but I can't remember what exactly he was talking about.
I am pretty sure moths can't tell time, and it's the light cycle that brings activity, otherwise moths from different time zones
would be active at varying times of the day or night.For instance, I've never had an Attacus active during the day, and given the
time difference between Asia and the USA, if they could tell time, they would be active during the day.
There is one thing about the light cycle that I am sure of, and that's the day length in relation to the caterpillars spinning cocoons
that diapause or hatch the same season, Actias luna is one of those.
