If you are shure, the pupaes are hard enough after pupation, take a small nail scissor and make a very small hole into the middle of the cocoon. Don´t sting into the cocoon.
Try to open the small hole a bit with the scissor and then make very small cuts without stinging into the cocoon. So you can open the cocoon very slowly cut after cut in both length and be careful, not to damage the pupae. If you have opened the cocoon over the half, you can easily open it to controll the pupaes. Try to open it 3/4 to take the pupaes out of the cocoon.

Be very carefull with the scissorpart inside the cocoon.
Ever try to cut on top of the cocoon, don´t roll it and try to cut at the side!
