Rant

Hey everyone,

I’ve been upset lately with my pets lately. I have posted several threads but no one can tell me what is wrong. I have spent a lot of time and care on my Lepidoptera cage. I have expanded it, light lamp, plants, host plants, humidity, and every humming bird food and butterfly food. I bought 3 Papilio maackii chrysalis. 1 hatched but lasted only 1 day. 2 others did not even hatch. After, I got 7 Dryas iulia chrysalis. All hatched but all adults lived only 1-2 days. A few other species have only lived 1 day. Also, I ordered another package. Even when Covid shipping is almost normal, packages that got here in the nick of time in the winter, now get in a 10 day lay over. I AM JUST SO FUSTRATED. I just feel like I’m a failure. I’m not new to the hobby, about 7 years now. The butterfly season is basically 2 weeks away for me but I can’t have another last year. I have more fails than wins.

This is just a rant. I don’t know what I’m going to do yet.

How do I use Insectnet? All I see is dried specimens and Taiwan beetle suppliers that I use but no Lepidoptera.

Ok I’ll wait and see. I’ve been really upset lately. I didn’t think Siproeta stelenes and dryas iulia were that exotic.

Ok, do you have any experience with common butterflies like cabbage whites or orange sulphurs. Can I feed them store bought cabbage?
