Dear breeders,
people knows that this is one of the easiest species to rear, but in this case they're giving me a lot of problems.
I've 21 larvae now, they hatched on January 27. A dozen caterpillars died for apparent no reason.
I keep these larvae of ricini in three Petri dishes, where the temperatures are 20-22°C. I don't give them much humidity.
The foodplant I use is Prunus laurocerasus, and they eat a lot.
What can be the problem?
Many thanks,
Lorenzo
