Hello Wessel. Is it a Saturnida? If yes, it could be Saturnia pavonia.
Ein kleines Ratespiel
-
-
No, it's not a Saturnia pavonia
-
The butterfly is a member of the Saturniidae
-
ok... it is a member of Saturnidae.. is it a Saturnia species?
-
No, it's not...
-
Hmm, it is really difficult. What part of the body is the picture taken from? Forewing/ Hindwing? Looking at the colors, I think it could be an Attacus species.
-
My English is not to good, but I hope you will understand.
You showed us a picture with 130 x 86 pixel on which is´nt anything concrete to see. You gave us a hint to the family Saturniidae, which include over 1000 specis worlwide, without any subspecis.
And nothing else since one week!?
Is this a riddle for people with somnolence?By
Rudi -
Hi Rudi,
I know the picture is not very big, I tried but I didn't get the picture any bigger so, sorry
And sorry for the fact that I didn't give many hints until now,The hint for today is that it is a species living in Thailand, (also in lots of more country's but this picture is made of a Saturnidae species from Thailand)
Greetings and goodluck!

-

Come on! It's a Attacus species and does live in Thailand
You should say; it can't be very hard
-
Attacus taprobanis or Attacus edwardsii
MFG Nsimba
-
Yes, the correct answer is indeed Attacus edwardsii! So congratulations to Nsimba
Here is the big picture of the species.
Greetings Wessel Herrewijnen

Hallo Wessel,
aber ich glaube die Art heißt nicht Attacus edwardsii sondern Archaeoattacus edwardsii! -
Yes I know, but it seems to be that this species is part of the Attacus family
