Why you don´t feed your livornica with Parthenocissus sp., Fuchsia sp. or Epilobium sp.?
It´s much easier!

you can buy rumex-seeds for a few cents. It will take about 3 month to be used as caterpillar food, human salad or for cream soup :augenrollen:.
It will grow again for some years. So perhaps you will try, at least for next year's caterpillars.

After some driving I found some Epilobium hirsitum.

, is that Oenothera is excepted as well.
As it is the same familie/ origin I should have come up with it earlier

Strange, because for me if you cut the Rumex plant, a few seconds after, the leaves are very limp of course but if you place the stem in the water you can keep it in a good condition for about 2 days without problem, even in a warm room...

I use the little watercups which flowershops use to keep their roses or others fresh. Its fits great in the little plastic terrariumboxes.
You can by them in every flowershop, costs about 14 cent each.
