Hey!

phyllium sp 'philippines'
this species is allways sold on ebay and other sites as siccifolium, i have never seen the true siccifolium for offer on ebay, so people are wrongly sold a incorrect species.
and thus it creates the confusion with siccifolium, to make it clear the true species siccifolium is extremeley rare in culture, i dont know of any experianced breeders that have ever kept this species, but there are probably a few out there.
all 'siccifolium' sold on ebay are allmost garunteed to be sp phillipenes.
occasionly P.celecicum may appear on ebay and other sites, but its easily identified by its square shapped ova.
there are 4 species of phyllium that all look very much alike, the true siccifolium, sp phillipenes, celebicum, and hausleithneri (small differences)
becuase of this you could be forgiven for incorrect naming, however the true siccifolium is also reported to be very difficult to culture, again making it scarce.
so in conclusion if you have bought what the seller has named siccifolium then you can allmost be sure its sp phillipines.
...
additional info-
still a un-named species so who knows when it will be given a official name.
although now on the psg list as 278
